Brief analysis of methods to improve machining power of sparks
As we all know, EDM/EDM machine is a kind of precision equipment, its main biggest defect is slow processing power. But this is also the same disease that has always been unable to deal with at work. This article briefly analyzes some general methods to improve processing power based on years of experience in the production and manufacturing of EDM/EDM machine tools.
(1) Workpiece pre-processing: The amount of metal removed during EDM/EDM machining will directly affect the processing power, so it is necessary to make the work piece have a proper machining allowance before electrical machining. In principle, the smaller the electrical machining allowance, the better, as long as the machining can be guaranteed. Generally speaking, the machining allowance for EDM is 0.1~0.5mm for the side surface of the cavity and 0.2~0.7mm for the bottom surface. (2) Erosion removal: The removal of erosions that occur in EDM/EDM machine EDM directly affects the processing quality, so a good chip removal environment must be ensured during processing.
There are three methods:
①Flushing method Open machining fluid holes on the workpiece or electrode to allow the working fluid to flow through.
②The pumping method is opposite to the flushing method.
③When the workpiece or electrode cannot open the machining liquid hole, the spray method can be used.
