Eight characteristics of spark machining oil
1. Spark oil transpiration
All liquids evaporate when heated, and the degree of transpiration of a liquid indicates the level and speed of transpiration under a given pressure and temperature.
2. Electric spark oil viscosity
That is, the internal friction of the liquid. When graphite spark engine oil is relatively moved due to external force, the resistance between oil molecules prevents the lubricating oil from moving smoothly. The size of the resistance is called viscosity.
3. Flash point of spark oil
Under normal conditions, heating graphite spark engine oil, when the oil temperature reaches a certain temperature, the mixture of oil vapor and surrounding air, once in contact with the flame, flash fire occurs. The lowest flash fire temperature is called oil flash point.
4. Spark oil moisture
Moisture indicates the amount of water in the oil, indicated by mass fraction. There should be no water in the oil.
A certain amount of sample is mixed with anhydrous solvent, distilled, and its moisture content is determined. If the moisture is less than 0.03%, it is regarded as a trace; if there is no moisture, it is regarded as nothing.
5. Spark oil resistance to foam
In the practical application of graphite spark engine oil, because of the effects of vibration and stirring, air enters the oil; resulting in the formation of bubbles, so it is requested to evaluate the tendency of the oil to generate foam and the foam and stability.
6. Corrosiveness of spark oil
The corrosion test is to determine the corrosion effect of oil on metals at a certain temperature.
Graphite spark oil cannot be used if it fails the corrosion test, otherwise it will cause corrosion to the mechanical equipment.
7. Lubricity of spark oil
The lubricity of spark oil includes three different functions: oiliness, anti-wear and extreme pressure.
8. Impurities separated by filtration from precipitates that are insoluble in gasoline or benzene in spark oil are called mechanical impurities.
Mechanical impurities are mainly mixed with foreign objects during use, storage and transportation, such as dust, mud, metal debris, metal oxides and rust.
